Michael Aponte LMT
For more than 30 years, I’ve helped clients reduce pain, restore mobility, improve physical function, and reconnect with a stronger, more balanced version of themselves through targeted therapeutic bodywork and movement-based care
My career in wellness began in Montauk, NY as a Personal Trainer at Gurney’s Inn, where I first witnessed the profound impact that movement, strength, and lifestyle can have on both physical and mental wellbeing. That passion evolved further while working at Equinox Fitness Clubs and later as a Pain Management Technician at TrueWholeCare in NYC, where I gained deeper insight into the complex relationship between pain, stress, injury, posture, movement dysfunction, and recovery.
Driven to expand my clinical understanding of hands-on healing, I completed massage therapy training at the Swedish Institute in 1991. Over the decades, I have developed an integrative bodywork approach designed to address chronic tension, restricted mobility, muscular imbalance, stress-related pain, and movement limitations at their source rather than simply chasing symptoms.
My work combines soft tissue therapy, deep tissue and trigger point work, myofascial release, sports massage, Swedish techniques, and gentle traction methods into highly individualized sessions tailored to each client’s specific needs and goals.
Clients often seek me out not only for pain relief, but for long-lasting improvements in mobility, recovery, physical performance, stress reduction, and overall quality of life. My approach is intuitive, therapeutic, and results-driven — combining clinical understanding with compassionate care to help clients feel better, move better, and function better in their everyday lives.
